Egypt is the Magick # played psychedelic communal trance music, similar to Yahowha 13, Kalakacra and Siloah. Their live shows in the late 90s were breathtaking. Egypt's core members were Adam Mortimer (check his www.myspace.com/egyptmagick) and Dave Shuford (of NNCK).
Egypt were part of the No Neck Blues Band family and often played shows with them. Egypt self-released some of their live recordings on a double-tape in '98 (check it out on http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.com/2007/06/egypt-is-magick-sttapeusa.html). Some of these tape recordings were later re-released as the VALENTINE PROCESS lp.
"How Many Pieces of the Puzzle Can the Mind Go Without?" was recorded in the studio in 1999, with NNCK members participating. Four long psychedelic tracks, Beefheart-meet-Sun Ra style.
Psycho-Path Records began at Egypt's show in 1999.
